Read it, really liked it (even though I really wanted to read about Kane/Syren like yesterday) but I saw where the author was going with the series and enjoyed the direction. I figured I see what book #2,, could bring. I even hinted to their pairing in my review a year ago, I liked them that much. But there were two standout secondary characters that intrigued me, Faro/Syren and Kane Ashby. Liked it, found issues, saw the potential, rated it 3.5 stars. *licks lips* It read authentic! Even better! I guess it takes a NYCer to recognize a fellow NYCer? I'm talking BK - Timberland wearing men, crime life, grit. Not hating, just stating.) And not this fancy schmancy Brooklyn flooded with hispters.
